Svaroopa® Yoga poses are gentle, yet deep. You are supported with blankets and yoga blocks in positions that help unravel tensions in the deepest layers of your body--the layers of muscles wrapped around your spine. We call this work core release.
Strength Through Release
“A weak muscle is a tight muscle - a tight muscle is a weak muscle.” - Svaroopa® Yoga Sutra.
As the muscles around the spine unwind, that release radiates out to your entire body. Release brings new blood flow and vital oxygen and nutrients to your muscles. Your muscles will actually get stronger when you experience core release.
Undoing Verses Doing
Svaroopa® Yoga is a practice of “undoing”. With core release you experience a deeper sense of calm. As the body goes, so goes the mind. As the physical stress unravels, mental stress also lets go. This interior calmness is your birthright. It unfolds with each pose releasing your inner joy and the knowledge that you are perfect just as you are. Svaroopa is a Sanskrit word that means the bliss of your own true being.
